Devotions:

“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” ‭Romans‬ ‭8:5-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Where we put our focus will determine what plane we live on, the carnal plane or the spiritual plane. If our attention is dominated by our feelings and what we perceive by our five physical senses then we will be walking contrary to God. But if we set our minds on God and the things of God then we will walk in the life of God who is in us. So we can set our minds on an illusion or on reality and that will determine what laws we choose to live by, the natural or the supernatural. The natural thinking is shoved and pushed around by circumstances and past experiences. Where as the mind set on the spirit is shaped and molded by the word of God. So we then walk in faith and shape and mold our circumstances and our past experiences and how we interpret them. We are to focus then on who we are in Christ Jesus and our position with Him seated at the right hand of the Father. We are to see all of our enemies as defeated and under our feet.

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” ‭Colossians‬ ‭3:1-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬
