Devotions:

God made us the righteousness of God in Christ. There is no higher righteousness. We will not be more righteous when we get to heaven. Without God’s righteousness in us we would not make heaven. Our righteousness does not depend on our actions but as we know and believe our righteousness as a gift from our Father God and act on it, this righteousness will dictate our actions. The greatest gift that we have from our Father God is to be one with Him. He is the source of very blessing for us. Righteousness is what gives us that oneness with Him. The more that we experience His goodness the less we want to do anything that will interfere with our connection with Him.

When we sin and interfere with our connection we need to turn to Him and see our actions as under the blood of Jesus. When we turn back to Him, He runs to embrace us like the Father of the prodigal son.

“if so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: that ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” ‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭21‬-‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬
