God's Love

Devotions:
The Bible tells us that God's love is totally unselfish. We see this demonstrated in the supreme being the universe, God, humbling Himself and taking the form of a man to redeem us even when we did not want to be redeemed. He not only became a man but He humbled Himself to take our sins upon Himself and suffer the shame and horrible punishment for those sins in our place. This is the Father's love for His children. This is the message that we have to preach to a hurting and dying world, God just wants to love them. Not only are we to tell the world of the love of the Father as demonstrated in Jesus but we are to love them with the same type of love.
“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:5 KJV
Our growth as a Christian is to learn how to manifest this love in our day to day walk. Paul says in 2 Corinthians 3 that we are transformed into the image of Jesus as we behold Him which comes many times through our worship. This Jesus is the love of God, totally unselfish. Humanity without God is totally selfish, that is why there are wars and fights even among Christians, because we have not learned how to yield to the God kind of love in us. We have not spent time in His presence so that we see the truth of who we are and reject the lie of the enemy.
God's love is shed abroad in your heart, take time to experience His love for you and then through you to the unloveable people you come into contact with.
