Priest

Devotions:

We have all been chosen as priest before the Lord. That means that our first duty is to minister to the Lord though our praise and thanksgiving which would end up in worship. This applies to all in the body of Christ and not just a few in the body.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We minister to God by praise, thanksgiving and declaring His great splendor and wonder in creation, redemption and even in sustaining us every moment that we live. We declare and thank Him for His great love for us.

“And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭34:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
