Doing the Works of Jesus

Devotions:
“Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” Luke 7:22-23 KJV
Here Jesus sums up His works of healing and demonstration of the kingdom of God. This shows the true nature of God, as one who loves and blesses, restoring all threat the enemy has stolen. We are to do the same works through faith, John 14:12. Jesus said also that we are to do greater works than He did because He was going to the Father. At His resurrection Jesus declared that all authority was give unto Him. that means that in His earthly walk as a man He was not operating in all authority but after His resurrection He had all authority and gave it to us. he add us righteous as He is righteous.
We should not shy away from doing these works. The more that we know our righteousness in Him the bolder we will be in the face of the work of the enemy and the more we will absolutely expect results. Our righteousness means that our Father is unreservedly backing us as He backed Jesus when He walked on the earth. Jesus only did what He saw His father doing and said only what He heard His Father saying. This was the key to His success, waiting on the Father until He knew the will of the Father and then acting upon it. God will speak to us also if we will listen, then we will do the works of the Father.
