Reigning in Life
Devotions:
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV
This most precious gift of righteousness that God has given us in Christ Jesus is for the most part unexplored territory for the vast majority of believers. This gift of righteousness is the ability to stand in our Father's presence without any guilt, fear, shame or inferiority. It makes us superior to demons, sickness and disease, poverty, calamity and defeat. We are once again to be the lords over the earth. God originally gave Adam and Eve the lordship over all of His creation. Genesis1: 26,28.
Adam gave it away to Satan when he chose to believe Satan over God. Jesus as man got the authority back when He defeated Satan. In defeating Satan, Jesus restored to us our right relationship with our Father. He made us righteous with His righteousness. We are then to reign in life over Satan and all his works. We are to reign in life over all of our circumstances. We do reign on our own authority or ability but on the authority of Jesus and in cooperation with Him. We are His hands and feet and He is our head. Jesus is to rule us not sin consciousness. We are right with God through Jesus' blood.
