Dependent

December 5, 2017

Devotions:

When God created Adam and Eve, He created them to be totally dependent on Hiim.  When they sinned they were rebelling against the dependency that God created them to enjoy. As new creations we have been restored again to the privilege of total dependence upon our Heavenly Father.

“Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:5, 9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Infirmities here is weaknesses. Paul did not strive to become super spiritual when his weaknesses were found out. He did not go the spiritual gym and work out. He saw it as an opportunity to become more dependent upon God. As co-workers together with God we work by His anointing upon us, even as Jesus did. To grow spiritually is to grow more and more in our dependence upon God as our all in all. He is our satisfaction, our completion, our fulfillment. When we realize this we become super hungry for His word and to spend time in His presence.  This comes from knowing this in our hearts and not just agreeing with it in our heads or acknowledging it in our rational thinking.

Revelation comes from spending time in His presence and by His word in His presence. This is a priority choice that you make and with His help do daily.
