Devotions:

“Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities." ‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God is not our enemy!  God's law is not our enemy!  God is our most precious friend who only wants the best for us.  Our sin, which is the violation of His law, is our enemy.  The law is based on love and any violation of love will destroy us.  The whole universe was designed to operate on the love principle because that is who God is. God sent Jesus to deliver us from our hatred and selfishness so that we might flow with the current of the universe, love.  When God calls something a sin it is because it is based in selfishness and not the self sacrificing love of God.

The origin of our love for God and our fellow man is the revelation of God's love for us as demonstrated in the cross of Jesus. Jesus' deliverance for us was first that He took our sins upon Himself and dealt with them thoroughly and completely. Secondly He gave us His nature of love in the new birth, that is eternal life.  Thirdly in the demonstration of His love by willingly taking our sins even though He was totally innocent, He creates love in us at the revelation of that love.  The more we meditate on His great love for us the more we will walk as a love child of a love God.  Love is the fulfillment of the law.  If we are not walking in love towards our fellow man, then we are not walking in love towards God. To remedy this problem we need a greater revelation of His love for us.  We cannot conjure up our love for Him and mankind. It is only created as we understand and know His love for us.

When Israel came out of Egypt by the mighty hand of the Lord, they saw the plagues, the judgements against the Egyptian gods. They saw the destruction of the Egyptian army.  They saw the miracle provision of God of food and water. But because they did not mix it with faith it did them no good. If we do not mix faith with the revelation of the crucifixion of Jesus, HIs burial, and His resurrection, it will also do us no good.

God's love has been poured out. Our sins are no more, believe in God's love for you.
