Giants

Devotions:
“They told Moses, We came to the land to which you sent us; surely it flows with milk and honey. This is its fruit. But the people who dwell there are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large; moreover, there we saw the sons of Anak [of great stature and courage].
So they brought the Israelites an evil report of the land which they had scouted out, saying, The land through which we went to spy it out is a land that devours its inhabitants. And all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the Nephilim [or giants], the sons of Anak, who come from the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.”
Numbers 13:27-28, 32-33 AMP
Many times we approach the challenges in our lives like the children of Isreal did when they first spied out the promised land. The spies said that it was a good land full of blessings but ten of the spies said that there were giants in the land and they could not take the land and defeat the inhabitants of the land. They measured the giants from a natural stand point and saw themselves as grasshoppers in comparison.
We look at our problems and they look huge and we measure ourselves as insignificant grasshoppers in comparison. In the natural our problems are huge and seemingly insurmountable. We see our situations as full of giants that are stopping us from recieving the blessings that God has said are ours.
But we just have the wrong prespective. We are looking in the natural perspective and we see giants. We need God's perspective. If the children of Isreal had seen the land that way that Joshua and Caleb did, from God's perspective then they would have said that God is with us and we are the giants to be contended with as we take the land. We need to see that God is with us and we are the giants that are to be contended with as we take the blessings of the Lord that He offers us and all the demonic forces of hell and all it stirs up in the natural and no match for us and God.
